Few brands are as well-positioned to capitalize on this sentiment than Juvia’s Place, one of the most established (and highest EMV-driving) Black-owned brands in the beauty space. Founded in 2015 by Nigerian-American beauty guru Chichi Eburu, Juvia’s Place has long championed diversity, and its range of vibrant, African-inspired eyeshadow palettes has cemented the brand’s status as an influencer go-to: from July 2019 to June 2020, Juvia’s Place netted $158.4M in Earned Media Value (EMV), a 22% year-over-year growth.
